Vedanta is in talks to establish an electronics cluster in Odisha.

Vedanta is looking to go beyond producing in India and aid in the growth of user industries for aluminium as well as semiconductors and glass, which it will start making in the country soon.

It is planning to construct a semiconductor and glass factory in Gujarat that will produce the raw materials that auto manufacturers, laptop manufacturers, cell phone manufacturers, and TV manufacturers can use. For the production of these in Odisha, large factories can be established. Additionally, this will increase the creation of jobs in the state.

Vedanta is establishing the Vedanta Aluminium Park, a joint venture with the Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation, where companies  can establish manufacturing facilities and use molten aluminium from its Jharsuguda smelter to produce their goods.
