SJVN Green Energy, a fully owned subsidiary of SJVN, has begun commissioning work on its 75 MW solar power project in Uttar Pradesh’s Tehsil Kalpi, District Jalaun, not far from Kanpur. By the end of this month, on October 30, 2022, the entire 75 MW capacity must be operational.
The project will produce 168.34 Million Units (MUs) of energy in its first year, and over the course of 25 years, it will produce roughly 3919 MUs of energy total. This would contribute to an annual increase in income of about 45.11 crore, which would improve both the top and bottom lines of the balance sheet. With Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation (UPPCL), a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) has been made.
