ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) has given several orders to Larsen and Tourbo Construction’s minerals and metals division to carry out their expansion goals in Gujarat and Odisha. These orders are in the iron and steel and beneficiation sectors.
At its Hazira factory in Gujarat, one of the packages of the order includes the installation of two blast furnaces, each with a 3.5 MTPA capacity. The scope, among other things, include the construction and simultaneous installation of Blast Furnaces 2 and 3 as well as the accompanying materials and supplies.
The company will install a steel melt shop with a 6 MTPA capacity in the same complex, including providing the identified products, comprehensive engineering for the entire plant, and final construction. This is the order’s second package.
The scope includes plant layout, installation of steel making facility, Secondary Metallurgy, and Slab Casting units concurrently within the agreed schedule
