Following the signing of a technology licence agreement with Denmark’s Vestfrost Solutions, Voltas Ltd. entered the medical refrigeration market.
According to the contract, a Tata Group company will design, produce, market, and provide maintenance for medical refrigeration and vaccine storage equipment in India, including Ice-lined Refrigerators, Vaccine Freezers, and Ultra Low Temperature Freezers.
The technology and know-how for producing the goods at Voltas’ facilities in India will be supplied by Vestfrost Solutions, a global developer and manufacturer of innovative and effective refrigerators and freezers in the Bio Medical and Cold Chain industry with its headquarters in Denmark.
Vestfrost Solutions will contribute its expertise in R&D and manufacturing, as well as a broad selection of products and the ability to source internationally, to this transaction. The partnership will take advantage of Voltas’s brand recognition and sales and distribution network.
