A Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) was signed by TP Saurya (TPSL), a division of Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL), and Tata Power Trading Company (TPTCL), to establish a 200MW (280MWp) solar project at Bikaner in Rajasthan. By March 2024, the plant will be operational. With TPSL, TPTCL has a 25-year PPA. The project will provide 485 million units of energy per year and be connected to the Central Transmission Utility (CTU) Bus. With this victory, TPREL’s total renewable energy capacity will be 6,788 MW, with 3,917 MW installed (Solar – 2,989 MW & Wind – 928 MW) and 2,871 MW in various stages of implementation.
