In order to deploy electric buses in the twin capital cities of Jammu and Kashmir, Tata Motors has formed a strategic partnership. The partnership is a component of the government of Jammu and Kashmir’s effort to create a network of public transportation that is financially, socially, and environmentally viable for Jammu and Srinagar.
As per the contract, the company will supply 150 units of 9-metre and 50 units of 12-metre Starbus electric buses. Tata Motors will supply, operate and maintain Tata Starbus electric buses for a period of 12 years.
