The Assam state government has given the buildings and factories division of Larsen & Toubro the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract to establish a new medical college and hospital.
The L&T construction division, which is a part of the company’s infrastructure division, as of the quarter that concluded in June, the infrastructure division made up 73 percent of L&T’s order book and contributed 40% to the company’s total top line. The transaction has been labelled as “substantial,” which suggests that the order’s worth ranges from Rs 1,000 crore to Rs 2,500 crore. In the past two months, the business has received four “major” orders.
L&T will build a building with a 430-bed teaching hospital, an academic center, and other amenities. a private ward, a hostel, a building for autopsies, and residential amenities. Over the course of three years, the 9.44 lakh square foot project is intended to be completed.
