According to Larsen and Toubro Ltd (L&T), its Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) business of L&T Construction has’significant’ engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) orders in India and abroad. A significant order, according to the company, is one that is between Rs. 1,000 crore and Rs. 2,500 crore in value. The stock was trading at 0.60% of 2,243.30 on the BSE. A power supply system order has also been placed with Larsen and Toubro Ltd (L&T) for the second phase of the Chennai Metro.
The receiving substations (RSS), auxiliary substations (ASS), and a SCADA system are all part of the project’s scope for the northern portions of Corridors 3 and 5. Additionally, the PT&D Business has received a contract to supply, build, test, and commission a 132kV substation in the United Arab Emirates on the international market. With the most recent contract secured under the Reforms-based Results-Linked Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) through the PT&D business, L&T hopes to significantly reduce the Aggregate Technical & Commercial (AT&C) losses at the pan-Indian level.
In order to improve the distribution infrastructure, the company has committed to segregating feeders, reconductoring, cabling, and enhancing line networks and elements. The development of distribution infrastructure in two discom circles of western Rajasthan has been contracted out to Larsen and Toubro Ltd (L&T).
