L&T Construction gets orders in the range of ₹1,000-2,500 Crore

Larsen & Toubro Ltd said that its heavy engineering arm received several “significant” orders in India and abroad during the third quarter of fiscal FY23. Orders in the range of 1,000-2,500 crore are considered’significant’ by the capital goods and engineering major. According to data, the company received 11 significant orders in the December quarter. In addition, it received a ‘large’ and a’mega’ order. Large orders have a value of 2,500 crore to 5,000 crore, while mega orders have a value of more than 7,000 crore.

A Mexican refinery has ordered the company’s reactors and heat exchangers, and it will supply critical reactors and vessels for blue ammonia projects in the United States and Uzbekistan, according to an exchange filing. One of its European customers has placed an order for process plant equipment. The orders were won “against stiff international competition,” according to L&T.

In India, the company received an order for reactors and heat exchangers from the Indian Oil Corporation’s Panipat Refinery. It also won a contract to renovate a urea plant in order to increase capacity and improve efficiencies. A fertilizer manufacturer also placed a repeat order for the installation of steam superheat coils, according to the report.
