Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bharat Forge, has received an order for 155 mm artillery gun system worth $155.50 million.
Although Kalayani Strategic Systems Ltd withheld the identity of the nation to which it would be supplying the artillery gun systems, it did state that the order would be fulfilled over a three-year period. The government of India’s Aatma Nirbhar Bharat programme and its persistent effort to boost exports of indigenously designed, developed, and manufactured (IDDM) advanced defence platforms from India, the business stated in a BSE statement, are well exemplified by this order to a non-conflict zone.
Bharat Forge is expanding its defence system capabilities after previously exporting armoured troop and people carriers. Bharat Forge showcased “MGS 8×8,” a 155 mm/52 calibre mounted artillery gun system with quick shot and scoot capability and a high degree of precision and consistency, at the just finished DefExpo 2022.
