J Kumar Infraprojects announced that its joint venture (JV), J. Kumar – MEPL, has received a letter of acceptance (LoA) from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to build a sewer tunnel from Goregaon to Malad using a segmental lining method.
The scope of work includes the design and construction of a 4.75-kilometer-long 2,600-mm-ID tunnel by segmental lined bored method from tunnel shaft S08 to tunnel shaft S12. The project’s total cost is Rs 515.26 crore. J Kumar Infraprojects owns 60% of the contract, or Rs 309.15 crore. The project will be completed in 42 months from the start date of work. J Kumar Infraprojects is a construction company based in Mumbai. On a consolidated basis, the company reported a 21.1% increase in net profit to Rs 71.08 crore in Q3 FY23 over Q3 FY22, on a 10% increase in net sales to Rs 1,062.39 crore.
