Indraprastha Gas (IGL) and Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for joint development, manufacturing, and deployment of Type-IV Cylinders (CNG and/or Hydrogen), hydrogen blending in City Gas Distribution (CGD), and fuel cell-based power backup system. On March 22, 2023, the company signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
Indraprastha Gas currently operates in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, including the adjoining areas of Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, Meerut (except in areas already authorised), Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Karnal, and Rewari.
