Indraprastha Gas Ltd and ACME Cleantech Solutions Pvt Ltd have signed an MoU to supply green hydrogen and build infrastructure

Recently, leading City Gas Distribution Company IGL and diversified renewable energy company ACME signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to work together to investigate the potential business opportunities presented by Green Hydrogen. In the presence of senior executives from both companies, the MoU was signed by Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Bhatia (Vice President – Business Development & Gas Sourcing, IGL), President & Director – Green Hydrogen and Ammonia, ACME, and Mr. Bhatia.

In order to encourage customer adoption and generate demand for green hydrogen in the nation, ACME and IGL will collaborate. The Companies will also collaborate to investigate the possibility of establishing hydrogen generation facilities, including installing electrolyzers to incorporate green hydrogen into IGL’s current pipeline networks supplying petrol to homes, businesses and other establishments, as well as CNG for vehicles.

“I would like to thank IGL for their commitment to develop infrastructure and supply green hydrogen to customers,” said ACME Group’s founder and chairman. Both of the partners will identify areas and projects for the adoption of green hydrogen in the nation.

“The partnership would benefit both the Companies, where ACME will offer its experience and expertise, while IGL, being a green energy provider to several cities and millions of homes, have a ready-made network to blend green hydrogen,” said Mr. Ashwani Dudeja, President & Director (Green Hydrogen and Ammonia) / ACME Group. We will also work together on policy issues and aid the government and industry in establishing supportive regulatory frameworks that enable and encourage clients to make long-term offtake commitments for green hydrogen and green ammonia.
