DoT has approved Tejas application under Government of India’s Design-led Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme

In order to manufacture telecom and networking equipment, Tejas Networks announced that the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) had approved its application under the Design-led Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme of the Indian government. The company pledged in its application to invest a minimum of 750 crore rupees in capital during the course of the scheme.

Tejas Networks’ CEO and Managing Director, Mr. Sanjay Nayak, stated: “We are appreciative that our application for the Design-led Manufacturing scheme for telecom and networking devices was approved by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), the Ministry of Communications, and SIDBI. This is a great programme by the Indian government to support R&D and IPR in India for the development of top-notch telecom goods with significant domestic value addition, where they provide additional incentives for products that are designed and made in India.
