DNEG, a visual entertainment services company, has agreed to buy Prime Focus Technologies (PFT), which provides cloud-based software and artificial intelligence (AI) technology to the media and entertainment (M&E) industry. PFT, a subsidiary of Prime Focus Ltd, DNEG’s parent company, has offices in North America, the United Kingdom, and India. Fast X (May 2023), The Little Mermaid (May 2023), and The Flash (June 2023) are among the projects undertaken by DNEG on behalf of its Hollywood and global studio and production company partners.
After the proposed transaction is completed, DNEG will add the CLEAR media workflow and automation software suite and the CLEAR AI purpose-built AI platform, which offer studios, broadcasters, brands, and service providers solutions to help manage content, video collaboration, and automation in the content production and distribution process.
