In order to jointly meet the needs of the Indian defence and export markets, Yantra India Limited (YIL) and Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL), a Navratna defence PSU, have signed an MoU for cooperation in the areas of ammunition hardware and military-grade components.
The agreement aims to take advantage of the complementary strengths and capabilities of BEL and YIL, a state-owned defence company, and to share manufacturing and testing resources for the production of weapons, ammunition, and related systems, according to a statement released on Tuesday by BEL, which has its headquarters in Bengaluru.
