Power Grid Rampur Sambhal Transmission, (a wholly owned subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India, secured an intra-state TBCB project in Uttar Pradesh through tariff-based competitive bidding) has been tasked with establishing a transmission system for the construction of 765/ 400/ 220 kV (GIS) substations in Rampur and Sambhal, as well as associated transmission lines, on a build, own, operate, and maintain (BOOM) basis. The Government of India (GoI) established Power Grid Corporation of India as India’s central transmission utility. The Government of India owned 51.34% of the company as of December 31, 2022.
