SJVN Green Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of SJVN, has received a Letter of Award from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) for a 200 MW Solar Power Project to be developed anywhere in Maharashtra. The project is expected to be completed in 18 months, beginning with the signing of the PPA with MSEDCL.
The estimated cost of construction and development for this project is Rs 1,000 crore. The project is expected to generate 455.52 MUs in the first year, with a total energy generation of approximately 10480.82 MU over a 25-year period. The completion of this project is expected to save 5,13,560 tonnes of CO2 and contribute to the GoI’s goal of achieving 500 GW of renewable capacity by 2030.
