Kalyani Strategic Systems (KSSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Bharat Forge, has signed an agreement with Rolls-Royce Marine North America to develop naval propulsion systems for the Indian market. Under the terms of the agreement, KSSL will work with Rolls-Royce on propulsion system design and development, licenced manufacturing, pre-sales and sales support, installation, commissioning, testing, and aftermarket services and support. This would make it easier to establish a local supply chain ecosystem in India for Controllable Pitch Propellers and Shafting systems, which the Indian Navy requires.
