NTPC REL to sign a MoU with Government of Tripura

The Tripura government and NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) have agreed to collaborate on the development of renewable energy projects in the northeastern state. An official statement said that Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha and senior officials of NTPC Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the national capital.

The agreement is intended to help Tripura meet its clean energy commitments by developing large-scale renewable energy projects. The state will develop floating and ground-mounted renewable energy projects under the terms of the MoU. Tripura Renewable Energy Development Agency (TREDA) is Tripura’s nodal agency for renewable energy project implementation. NTPC REL is a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC, the state-owned power generator.
