Cupid bags order from UNFPA

Cupid rose 2.14% to Rs 278.80 after the company announced that it had received a purchase order worth Rs 5.21 crore from UNFPA for the supply of male condoms and water-based lubricant.  On Tuesday, after market hours, the announcement was made.

UNFPA is an abbreviation for the United Nations Population Fund. The organisation is the United Nations Agency for Sexual and Reproductive Health. The order is worth Rs 5.21 crore and will be completed by June 2023. Omprakash Garg, CMD of Cupid said, We are excited to receive this valuable repeat order.

Cupid manufactures rubber contraception and other prophylactic products. In Q2 FY23, the company’s net profit fell 75.2% to Rs 2.36 crore, while net sales fell 22.5% to Rs 36.22 crore.
