BCL Industries and its subsidiary company took part in an OMCs tender that was issued on October 18, 2022, inviting different molasses and grain-based distilleries to supply ethanol for the period starting on December 1, 2022, and ending on October 31, 2023, at their various locations throughout the nation.
After the first round of offerings was completed, BCL Industries was given permission to supply the OMC’s with 4.9 crore litres of ethanol from their production facility in Bathinda, Punjab, for an estimated order value of Rs 285 crore. Additionally, the company’s distillery unit has received a Rs. 107 crore order from Reliance Industries to supply 1.65 crore litres of ethanol.
3.65 billion litres of ethanol will be provided to the OMCs by Svaksha Distillery, a BCL Industries subsidiary, from its production facility in Kharagpur, West Bengal, with an estimated order value of Rs 213 crore. A further order worth Rs 56 crore for 89 lac litres of ethanol to be supplied to Reliance Industries was also received by the plant.
