Mahindra Electric Mobility Limited (MEML) has officially merged with its parent company, Mahindra and Mahindra Limited, in Mumbai (M&M). The M&M Board of Directors agreed that MEML would merge into M&M on April 1, 2021, to streamline EV development, manufacturing, and sales operations. The merger process, which has been ongoing, received final NCLT approval on January 13, 2023, according to a press release from the company.
M&M’s Last Mile Mobility (LMM) division will be in charge of the company’s well-known mix of petrol, CNG, diesel, and electric 3 and 4-wheeler passenger and cargo vehicles. According to the release, these include the Mahindra Jeeto 4-wheeler, the Alfa range of 3-wheelers, the Zor Grand electric, and the exclusive electric Treo range.
