Infosys, a next-generation digital services and consultancy firm, announced today that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (JNTU-K) to accelerate digital and life skills development across India through its online learning platform ‘Infosys Springboard,’ according to an exchange filing.
JNTU-K will use Infosys Springboard to power e-content on their website, including self-learning material, assignments, and projects, as part of their engagement with Infosys. In collaboration with Infosys, JNTU-K has launched eight skill-oriented courses. Through Infosys Springboard, industry-relevant content will be made available to 200+ affiliated institutions, affecting approximately 1.5 lakh students.
This will benefit not only students but also faculty members in helping to implement the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Vice Chancellor of JNTU-K, “The National Education Policy (NEP) gives us plenty of leeway in implementing these strategies. In fact, JNTU-K has integrated eight cutting-edge skill development subjects into our B.Tech., CSE, and IT curricula. In this regard, JNTU-Kakinada and Infosys have entered into a collaborative agreement to use the Infosys Springboard programme, with its rich repository of 12,000+ courses, to develop the digital skills of JNTU-Kakinada faculty and students.”
“We are excited to work with JNTU-K to support a new generation of enthusiastic learners who are eager to participate in our digital future. We are confident that this collaboration will significantly advance technical education in India and assist youth in developing industry-relevant skills in a rapidly changing world “said Infosys’ Senior Vice President and Head of Education, Training, and Assessment.
