Bharat Dynamics (BDL), which is exhibiting its products in the largest-ever display at Aero India – 2023 in Bengaluru, has signed ten Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with various foreign and Indian companies today. BDL and Thales have signed an agreement to establish manufacturing facilities for the Laser Guided Rocket and its major components in India. The Laser Guided Rockets manufactured at the new facility will be offered to the Indian Defense Forces, according to the MoU. The MoU will make it easier for BDL to join Thales’ global supply chain and address future export market requirements with Thales.
In addition to the foregoing, BDL signed an agreement with an EDGE Group entity, AL TARIQ, in the UAE, to jointly manufacture all-weather, day/night, long-range precisionguided munition (LR-PGM) kits in India. BDL has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with BULTEXPRO LTD, BULGARIA to establish manufacturing facilities for 122mm GRAD BM ER and NON ER rockets in India under ‘Make in India’ with Technology Transfer.
BDL and the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) in Chennai have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on the design and development of propellant grains for various missiles and futuristic weapon systems. BDL signed an agreement with Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation Limited (TIDCO), Chennai, under which TIDCO and BDL will collaborate on new programmes with TIDCO’s centre of excellence.
